2.─────Network

Since its creation in 2007 the impact of KMM-VIN network on Members' research activities has been substantial

KMM-VIN has developed a structure and networking conditions for Members’ joint research activities.
Examples of positive effects of the network reported by Members include:

- new research topics were inspired by the KMM-VIN;
- new technological laboratory was established;
- several European and national projects were initiated;
- many research papers were published with partners;
- joint PhD theses were defended;

Most of these developments would not be possible if KMM-VIN did not exist.

2.1.─────Members

There are two groups of members in KMM-VIN: Core and Associate

Both groups have equal rights in accessing information, participation in R&D and other programmes and initiatives of KMM-VIN. Associate members have no vote right at the General Assembly meetings.

Applications for membership are collected on a continuous basis

KMM-VIN is open for new members from academia and industry interested in joint activities within the scope of Working Groups.
Final decision on applications is made by KMM-VIN General Assembly each February in Brussels.
